Dr. Joel Myers
Dr. Myers is a dedicated and experienced chiropractor who has been part of the team at Performance Chiropractic since 2011. A graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Biology and Criminal Justice Studies, Dr. Myers initially pursued a career in medical sales and management before finding his true passion in chiropractic care. He went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2011.
With a unique background in both chiropractic care and the hospital/surgical center environment, Dr. Myers takes a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to healthcare. He is committed to finding the most effective treatment options for each individual and condition. His expertise spans a wide range of techniques, including chiropractic manipulation, Active Release Techniques (ART), Nimmo, Webster, Graston Technique, and various therapeutic modalities like therapeutic ultrasound and muscle stimulation. Dr. Myers also provides tailored advice on stretching and strengthening exercises to support recovery and prevent future injuries. His goal is always to restore optimal function and provide relief as efficiently as possible.
Growing up in Clarinda, Iowa, Dr. Myers was an active athlete, competing in football, wrestling, and track. His own experience with chiropractic care during his athletic career shaped his understanding of its benefits, especially for managing sports injuries. Outside of the office, Dr. Myers enjoys spending time with his wife, Kori, and their two boys, Ty and Turner. He is passionate about coaching his children’s sports teams and exploring new places with his family whenever possible.
