Dr. Jake Akerson

Dr. Jake Akerson was born and raised in Wahoo, NE and grew up loving sports. His high school wrestling career nearly came to an end after a debilitating neck injury. When nothing else worked, chiropractic care helped him to not only finish the season but go on to be a state champion. After that he was hooked and wanted to learn more about the profession that had influenced his life so much.

Dr. Akerson attended Northwest Missouri State University for undergraduate coursework and earned his doctor of chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College-Kansas City in August 2007. Since then he has enjoyed helping people with his natural approach to healthcare.

Dr. Akerson believes the body has the ability to heal itself when allowed to function properly. He is very passionate about nutrition and exercise and believes that those things along with chiropractic care will help the body to function at its optimum level.
