Dr. Gerard DeBernardis

I grew up in Cranford, NJ, and attended undergraduate college at The College of New Jersey, formerly Trenton State College. Initially, I started as a marine biology major, but eventually switched to pre-med after deciding I wanted to dedicate my life to helping people achieve better health. I then attended New York Chiropractic College and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1996.

For the past 28 years, I have been in private practice in Freehold, NJ, where I developed one of the largest multi-specialty practices in NJ, combining the best of many treatment options to help patients get better faster. I also developed one of the largest non-surgical knee pain practices in NJ with Scot Paris, MD. I am certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia, Electrodiagnostic Testing, and am an ISMST Certified Shockwave Physician—one of only 118 currently in the country. Additionally, I am a Certified Softwave TRT Provider and a Certified Softwave TRT Clinical Trainer. I frequently lecture on Shockwave technology in clinical practice and serve as a consultant to physicians on the effective use of Shockwave in their practice. I am dedicated to providing innovative medical technologies that exceed the current standard of care.

What sets my practice apart from the many other offices in our Freehold community is that we offer patients the opportunity to achieve more than just “feeling good.” We have designed programs combining state of the art medical technologies with traditional proven treatment programs to not only “patch” problems up, but actually fix them for good! When I’m not in my practice, I enjoy a variety of activities and hobbies including offshore fishing, boating, and scuba diving. I love the outdoors and anything that has to do with the ocean.

I am dedicated to bringing the latest non-drug, non-surgical, medical innovations to the patients in my practice. I travel around the world acquiring knowledge from leading edge researchers, scientists, and physicians in order to stay “ahead” of most other practices in our area by offering state of the art technologies that can help patients get better, safer and faster.
